In honor of L. Ron Hubbard’s Birthday 2000
Of course, what L. Ron Hubbard himself most wished for on his birthday is expansion. And, of course, that’s exactly the gift we present. But to understand the full ramifications of that expansion, you have to look even beyond our groups, Scientology missions and churches. Because, what does our expansion actually mean?
In a word — help.
And that help translates into people at every strata of society benefiting from L. Ron Hubbard’s legacy and improving their lives. And as those others benefit from his legacy — they, too, wish to honor him.
That’s why the internationally renowned Explorer’s Club, now presents the “L. Ron Hubbard Young Explorer’s Scholarship Award”, to students of outstanding merit. And that’s why an advisor to the Puerto Rican Senate just placed an L. Ron Hubbard photo exhibit in the heart of San Juan — in the prestigious Institute of Puerto Rican Culture itself. And all while Puerto Rico’s largest newspaper just devoted four full pages to the story ofL. Ron Hubbard on that island.
Finally, that’s also why the police of East Point, Georgia, working hand-in-hand with local residents, have just restored their local community center. And in the spirit of this evening’s event, the people of East Point have just enjoyed an enormous birthday cake in his honor. What was the occasion? A new L. Ron Hubbard literacy program commencing this week, at their restored East Point Center — now renamed “TheL. Ron Hubbard Community Center”.
But if that’s the local view of where L. Ron Hubbard stands today, lets take the national view. A trade magazine, focusing on cultural trends, just conducted an in-depth national survey. They posted a panel of judges to sift through all the entries, and define exactly who were the greatest communicators of all time, and specifically, those of the 2Oth century. And when speaking of the world’s greatest communicators, it should come as no surprise, right in the top ten is the name, L. Ron Hubbard.
