Each year, L. Ron Hubbard receives acknowledgments from opinion leaders, VIPs and officials around the world. These are called proclamations.

     But what is a proclamation?

It is an official announcement issued by heads of state and cities to publicly commend an individual and, in very rare instances, dedicate a day, week or month in his name.

By tradition, such proclamations are only issued to those responsible for great contribution to their community, city, state, country or the world. And even then, the receipt of a proclamation is a very rare honor.

Throughout their lifetime, men of great accomplishment may receive a few or half a dozen. Keep that in mind when I tell you now that proclamations recognizing L. Ron Hubbard came in from all over the world, and for L. Ron Hubbard’s birthday this year, the total received is three hundred and thirty-four proclamations and recognitions.

Moreover, 98 of those awards were from cities and states which also dedicated March 13th 1995 as “L. Ron Hubbard Day.”

     L. Ron Hubbard has also received many other acknowledgments and awards this year and I would like to tell you about a few of the most significant ones.

For instance, L. Ron Hubbard has been a member of the prestigious Explorers Club since 1940.
